Ethan Locy is a filmmaker drawn to the mysterious, the whimsical, and the space between dread & beauty.
Raised in Brooklyn and based in Nashville, he directs narrative shorts, music videos, and select commercial projects.
His thesis film, The Slide Rock Screecher, screened at LA Shorts International Film Festival (Oscar-qualifying) and was a finalist at the London Director Awards (2025), among other accolades.
His work blends the fantastical with the grounded, creating atmospheric narratives that feel both familiar and otherworldly. Long-term, he's working toward directing his first feature film.
Ethan is also the founder of Nashville-based production company Boneyard Banquet.
